Just returned from an amazing trip to Casa SoloOro in Chacala. It was our first time in Chacala and this house was simply outstanding. We were three families traveling together, with 6 kids total (ranging in age from 5-12). First, the house is gorgeous. After driving through the gates to this gated community, it was so peaceful and lovely. The house took our breath away! The views of the nightly sunset are incredible. We spent the bulk of our time sitting looking out on the view. There was ample space for everyone to spread out. 3 master bedrooms plus two more bedrooms (each with 2 twins) plus a media room with 3 twin beds in there (they convert to couches, but are NOT pull out sofas. they are actual twin beds with massive bolster pillows that turn them into deep couches).
So you can legitimately sleep 13 in actual beds! The beach is about a 5-minute walk from the Casa. The Beach Club is for all guests in Marina Chacala to use, however when we were there we were often the only people there! The house has kayaks and boogie boards for us to use and we rented a paddleboard and a surfboard for the week. It was great. The best part was the staff. Dahlia (the cook!) and Deanna the housekeeper were there every morning by 8 am to serve us yummy breakfasts and lunches and dinners! The food was quite good – but the best part was just not having to think about it at all. You pay for the grocery costs and tipping, but after a 6-day stay, our total per 4-person family 3 meals a day and alcohol and excursions was VERY reasonable…that was amazing. There is a groundskeeper too who kept the place spotless and the pool clean. And there is a house concierge, Javier, who managed our every need, whether it was booking a whale watching trip, a surfing expedition, or a guided hike. There’s not a lot to do in Chacala. Sayulita is over an hour away. However, this was so relaxing and beautiful. I read two books and played cards and backgammon and the kids entertained themselves. I will definitely return here!
