Welcome to SolOro

Wow! Wow! Wow!

We had an absolutely wonderful week at fabulous Casa SolOro! What’s not to love? The property itself is so special, and I can truly see how much thought Christine put into every last detail of the house and grounds, to make sure the visitor experience is nothing but the best. It left us wanting for nothing. Everything is anticipated and provided –and since we are quite particular, that says a lot. We loved waking up to the calming ocean sounds, singing birds, abundant wildlife, and whale shows that were second to none. Like they were performing every day just for us, lol. Glad we brought the binoculars as recommended. I also want to express the important role the amazing staff played in making our stay so unforgettable. Javier was a huge help– very professional, kind, accommodating and easy to work with every step of the way. And Mari and Ana. Well, they are just the best! They put their hearts and souls into getting us our meals, all of which were delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully served, every day. In fact, we so loved their meals we did not even eat out! They always shared smiles, an easy, can-do attitude and we grew to cherish them more every day. They are such an asset to the overall experience, I think several people actually cried when it was time to say goodbye. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation, and we hope to make this visit an annual one! I cannot express our gratitude and appreciation to you for making this all possible, Christine. And I know that our thoughts also reflect that of everyone in our group as well.

Paradise Perfection

If you are looking for the best vacation rental outside of Puerto Vallarta you have found it! This home is perfect! Every detail of this property has been thought out by the wonderful owner Christine. All rooms are fantastic and our group of 6 couples had a hard time deciding which room to choose. The views are breathtaking and the palapa was the center point in all our festivities. I can not say enough great things about Mari, Ana, and Javier. They made our stay easy and amazing from day one. You will not get better food anywhere! Stay in and have Mari and Ana cook for you and you will not be disappointed. They were even fantastic with all of our kiddos. We nicknamed Mari the baby whisperer:) Javier made sure that we had everything we desired, from red wine and bug spray to perfect surfing spots. Our group travels all over the world and Mexico has been our favorite. With that said, not a single other VRBO has compared to this property, the staff, and the owner. Mari made us fresh-squeezed orange juice every day, fresh margaritas, the best meals, and desserts. Ana took care of groceries, meal planning, laundry, and keeping our rooms clean and tidy. Mari also gives massages right on the property with the waves crashing behind you. Don’t waste your time looking at other properties. This is the best! Thank you Christine for sharing your exquisite home and employing three of the very best there is! This is it… paradise found. We will be returning and will be making this house our second home. And

Thanks to Javier, this place seemed like a 5-star resort

With a chef and maid on-site, as well as Javier available by phone to help with just about anything we needed, it was a great experience. From boats picking us up in front of the house to search for surf spots to vans picking us up to explorer the surrounding area, we loved this little oasis. Plus, the home is found inside a really nice community with its own beach club and private beach, with Kayaks and Umbrella to use. Things to note – – The floors are really slick cement, so any older or unsteady guests should wear shoes at all times, or have assistance. – We went in July and there were a lot of mosquitoes. I’d bring a bug zapper, candles, spray, whatever. – There is no beach out front of the home, but instead, a little walkway that leads out into the water, to swim out to a boat. – Bring water shoes – All the rooms have AMAZING AC – The wifi is fast enough to stream Netflix and other services. The upload speed however is not the fastest, but decent. – We have Verizon cell service and it was fine at the house. – The home has the equivalent of 3 master bedrooms with bathrooms and two smaller rooms with two twin beds. – The chef and maid service every day was a huge plus – The pool is as magical as it looks in the pictures, we loved it! – The beach is a 5-10 min walk on the street in front of the house. It’s a nice peaceful walk, private community. You can also rent a golf cart for $50/day if you want. – They did our shopping for us every day, it was awesome!

Hidden Paradise!!

Just WOW. The property, the house, the staff, and the food were unbelievable. Mari, the cook, makes the most delicious 3 meals a day that you could imagine. The best Mexican food we have ever had! She was also so kind and welcoming. It made us feel so at home. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Mari made the meals at our specified times and cleaned every day. Javier, the property manager, was also amazing. He arranged everything for us, from wonderful couples massages to water sports. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! His English was perfect and was just as kind and welcoming as Mari! The pool… the pictures really don’t do it justice. Infinity pool overlooking the ocean, you can’t find this even at 5-star resorts!!! The views were breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks every morning was magical. The house itself is spectacular and so well kept. Tips: Do get a massage! There is a massage table/gazebo that makes the experience unreal. Make sure you wear bug spray, especially at night. Take a trip to the private beach. We had the beach all to ourselves and it was great. Also, the water was warm 🙂 Take a trip into town. The people are wonderful and the food is delicious. Don’t forget to ask Mari for dessert. Hands down the best flan and banana bread we’ve ever had. However many days you plan to stay, double it. We were sad to go. All in all, the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time!!! Thank you, Javier, Mari, and Christine. You made our visit so special.

A slice of paradise in the middle of the tropical jungle

It’s difficult to know what to love most about this place: the 5-star accommodation, the endless glorious meals prepared daily on site, the noise of the Pacific Ocean pounding against the rocks below, the nearby beach (which you have pretty much all to yourself), the incredible view across the bay or the even-more incredible nightly sunsets. It’s an absolutely blissful place in an absolutely blissful location. Top marks and highly recommended!

So much better than pictures!

Just returned from an amazing trip to Casa SoloOro in Chacala. It was our first time in Chacala and this house was simply outstanding. We were three families traveling together, with 6 kids total (ranging in age from 5-12). First, the house is gorgeous. After driving through the gates to this gated community, it was so peaceful and lovely. The house took our breath away! The views of the nightly sunset are incredible. We spent the bulk of our time sitting looking out on the view. There was ample space for everyone to spread out. 3 master bedrooms plus two more bedrooms (each with 2 twins) plus a media room with 3 twin beds in there (they convert to couches, but are NOT pull out sofas. they are actual twin beds with massive bolster pillows that turn them into deep couches).

So you can legitimately sleep 13 in actual beds! The beach is about a 5-minute walk from the Casa. The Beach Club is for all guests in Marina Chacala to use, however when we were there we were often the only people there! The house has kayaks and boogie boards for us to use and we rented a paddleboard and a surfboard for the week. It was great. The best part was the staff. Dahlia (the cook!) and Deanna the housekeeper were there every morning by 8 am to serve us yummy breakfasts and lunches and dinners! The food was quite good – but the best part was just not having to think about it at all. You pay for the grocery costs and tipping, but after a 6-day stay, our total per 4-person family 3 meals a day and alcohol and excursions was VERY reasonable…that was amazing. There is a groundskeeper too who kept the place spotless and the pool clean. And there is a house concierge, Javier, who managed our every need, whether it was booking a whale watching trip, a surfing expedition, or a guided hike. There’s not a lot to do in Chacala. Sayulita is over an hour away. However, this was so relaxing and beautiful. I read two books and played cards and backgammon and the kids entertained themselves. I will definitely return here!

Ideal Family Getaway!

This was our second time staying at the beautiful Sol Oro. It’s the perfect vacation spot for a large family or group with diverse interests. Some lounged by the pool or in the hammock while others played frisbee on the almost deserted beach, hit tennis balls at the 2 courts, or kayaked in the bay with the included kayaks. Dahlia provided great meals the whole time to a diverse group of eaters whose tastes ranged from adventurous to cheese quesadillas. The on-site chef is an amazing luxury. Not having to worry about grocery store runs, meal prep, and dishes is really nice! I’d highly recommend Sol Oro!
